This guarantees that the center and sight lines of the house are absolutely perfect. During the excavation we recommend an application of 6" of clear stone below the footers. In conjunction with correctly installed drain tile, floor prep, and good waterproofing this treatment can guarantee a dry basement. We use good, coarse sand against the waterproofed foundation to relieve hydraulic pressure, and we always drop our drain tile down to collect the frost wall footers which lowers the water table. On a new house foundation, it pays to do it right the first time.
